Power of Breath was founded by Sophie Dawe, a breathwork facilitator with a background in psychology and a passion for holistic well-being.

is a space dedicated to sharing the transformative potential of breathwork — a powerful, accessible modality for healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Power of Breath

At the heart of this work is the belief that breathing is our innate superpower. When consciously harnessed and understood, it can lead to profound emotional and energetic shifts, supporting personal evolution and deeper connection to self.

Founded with the intention of empowering individuals to awaken their own healing capabilities, Power of Breath welcomes all—regardless of experience, background, or where they are on their journey. Breathwork is for everyone.

Rooted in a background in Psychology (Bachelor’s degree), this practice blends psychological insight with somatic and breath-based approaches to offer a grounded, holistic foundation for healing and transformation.

Breathwork is a practice of surrender—of softening, releasing, and returning to the essence of who we truly are. This space invites all to arrive with an open mind and heart, ready to explore what it means to breathe with intention and live with presence.

Styles of Breathwork

Power of Breath is a holistic breathwork practice that embraces a diverse range of techniques. Each method offers something valuable, and all are honoured for their unique contribution to well-being and personal transformation.

  • (Conscious Connected Breathing)
A powerful technique that supports emotional release and deep healing by accessing and clearing stored tension and trauma held in the body.

  • Rooted in ancient yogic tradition, this breath-focused practice cultivates balance, clarity and vitality by consciously regulating the flow of breath and energy.

  • Gentle, intentional breathing practices designed to support the body’s natural ability to shift from stress into calm, building emotional resilience and inner balance.

  • A science-backed approach to restoring healthy, efficient breathing patterns. These techniques support long-term well-being by optimising how we breathe in daily life.

My Journey:
From Chaos to Calm

Hey, I’m Sophie

During my psychology studies, I began to sense that something was missing in traditional approaches to wellbeing. Seeking answers, I decided to take some time off and travel around Australia in a van with my partner. This extraordinary journey led to a profound realisation: I couldn’t sit with myself. I was constantly searching for distractions, my mind racing with anxious thoughts and endless worries, often fixating on problems that weren’t even there.

This experience prompted me to take a deeper look at my health. I overhauled my diet, started practicing yoga, and began meditating. These steps marked the beginning of my healing journey. I stumbled upon breathwork by chance, and it was nothing short of life-changing. It completely shifted my perspective and accelerated my path to reconnect with my mind, body, and soul.

Feeling a strong urge to learn more, I began breathwork and meditation practitioner training with Cool2beConscious. My goal was to strengthen my understanding and practice, and to share this transformative modality with others in the hopes of creating positive change.

This training became not only a journey of learning to hold space for others but also a personal journey of growth and self-discovery. I approach this work with both knowledge and lived experience. I’ve navigated my own healing process, which has given me the capacity to hold space for others with empathy and understanding.
